Privacy Policy
QRforPhoto ("QRforPhoto," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by InviteQR, LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from event hosts and their guests, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using QRforPhoto, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
Account information. When you create a host account, we collect your email address and a password (stored in encrypted form). We may also collect basic event details you provide, such as event names, dates, and a custom site tag (URL slug).
Uploaded content. Guests can use a shared event link or QR code to upload photos, videos, and voice recordings to an event gallery without creating an account. Guests may optionally provide a display name. We collect and store whatever content is uploaded to a gallery.
Payment information. Hosts pay a one-time fee per event, based on party size, to unlock or expand a gallery. Payments are processed by Stripe. QRforPhoto does not receive or store your full card number or other raw payment card details — that information is handled directly by Stripe in accordance with its own privacy policy and security standards. We retain records of transactions (such as amount, date, and event associated with the payment) for accounting and support purposes.
Usage and device information. We may use standard analytics tools to understand how the site is used — for example, which pages are visited and general device or browser information. This helps us maintain and improve the service.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to operate the service: creating and managing host accounts, hosting and displaying event galleries, processing payments, providing customer support, communicating important updates, and keeping the service secure and reliable. We do not sell your personal information or uploaded content to third parties.
Cookies and analytics
QRforPhoto may use cookies or similar technologies necessary to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences. We may also use standard analytics tools to understand overall site usage. These tools do not give us access to the contents of your photos, videos, or voice recordings.
Third-party service providers
We rely on third-party providers to operate QRforPhoto, including:
- Stripe, which processes all payments and handles sensitive payment card data on our behalf.
- Cloud hosting and database providers, which store account information and uploaded photos, videos, and voice recordings on our behalf, using industry-standard security practices.
These providers only access information as needed to perform their services for us and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Data retention
Event galleries, including all uploaded photos, videos, and voice recordings, are stored indefinitely by default — we do not automatically delete events or content after any set period. Content remains available unless the host deletes it, deletes the event, or requests deletion of their account as described below.
Your rights and choices
Host account owners can access, update, or delete their account information, and can delete individual photos, videos, or voice recordings, or an entire event gallery, at any time through their account. To request deletion of your account or associated data, or if you have any other question about your personal information, contact us at support@inviteqr.com. Guests who wish to have content they uploaded removed from an event gallery should contact the event host directly, or reach out to us and we will do our best to assist.
Children's privacy
QRforPhoto is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through host accounts. QRforPhoto is sometimes used at family events where children may appear in photos, videos, or voice recordings uploaded by guests. Event hosts are responsible for obtaining any appropriate permission from parents or guardians before allowing minors to use the guest upload link, and for managing who has access to a gallery containing images of children.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we store, including encryption of data in transit. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of QRforPhoto after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
